About Me
![]() Photo Galaxy Web Awards Hi, My name is Dave Miles, currently a freelance photographer located in the North East of England. I am building up this website as the main portfolio for showing my work while studying for my FDa in commercial photography. I enjoy many forms of photography including wildlife and landscapes and a photographer who has a big influence on me is North Yorkshire landscape photographer Joe Cornish. I also like photographing people and have an interest in branching out into media advertizing photography. I provide several services including wedding photography, repairing old damaged and faded photographs and creative image manipulation. "I have travelled to many spectacular places including Africa,Cuba, Canada and Alaska in my search to capture photographs that hopefully people will enjoy". Alaska left a big impression on me when i visited the state in 2006 and one very special place is Brooks River and Falls in Katmai National Park. Here i was privileged to spend 3 days in the company of over 30 grizzly bears gorging on the autumn salmon run on Brooks River. See the Katmailand link on my home page. I hope to return again some day. I am currently spending all my spare time suitably camouflaged out in the field getting familiar with my new location for my forthcoming assignment, photographing stoats which if all goes well should be appearing on my website in early May. I am also continuing with my kingfisher photography and doing my bit for Tees Wildlife Trust during 2010.
